Nick Milligan is an Australian fiction writer and entertainment journalist. In 2013 he launched his acclaimed debut novel, Enormity, before dropping a collection of short stories in 2017 called Tomcat Feelings.

Milligan is currently writing the follow-up novel to Enormity.

Since 2002, Milligan has profiled some of the world’s most influential artists. He has been published in Frankie, Rolling Stone, YEN, Smash Hits, Hotpress, Dazed and Confused, and Reverb Magazine. He was the editor-in-chief of Reverb Magazine, the music and film editor of YEN Magazine and has worked as a sub-editor at YEN, Dazed and Confused, Frankie and The Maitland Mercury.

Milligan worked on Enormity for four years, finishing the second draft in late November 2012. It was initially released in three instalments as an ebook from Anzac Day, 2013. Enormity officially launched as a paperback in November 2013.

Milligan hosts a weekly music and film trivia night in his home town of Newcastle, which gathered a cult following over the last eight years. He appeared on the movie podcast Coming Attractions, and will soon return to the beloved Dictating Terms podcast.

He currently hosts Music and Movie Trivia at the Stag & Hunter Hotel, Mayfield, and works as part of the Dashville events team, who organise and promote music festivals The Gum Ball, Dashville Skyline, PigSty in July and Thrashville.

He has also been a guest at the last two instalments of the Newcastle Writer’s Festival.
